The UFC released a pair of “The Ultimate Fighter” alum.
“The Ultimate Fighter 3″ winner Kendall Grove and “The Ultimate Fighter 13″ semifinalist Chuck O’Neil both announced on their respective Facebook accounts that they have been cut by the organization.
Grove has been inconsistent during his UFC stint, sporting a 6-6 record since since defeating Ed Herman to win the show in June of 2006. He is coming off of back-to-back unanimous decision losses to Demian Maia and Tim Boetsch. He is the third TUF winner to be cut by the promotion, joining Season 8 winner Efrain Escudero and Season 4 winner Travis Lutter.
O’Neil was released after losing his official UFC debut to Chris Cope at The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale earlier this month. He was originally brought on the season as an alternate and lost an opening round fight, however was brought back as a “wild card” pick. He made it to the semi-finals before losing to eventual winner Tony Ferguson.
