Filming of The Ultimate Fighter Season 14 is underway, and UFC President Dana White is already impressed. White says that the fights to get into the house are so impressive that he plans on finding a way to make sure all of them make the air.
“The fights to get into the house happened Tuesday,” White told MMAJunkie.com. “I’m going to figure out a way to make sure every one of those fights airs on TV. The best fights ever in the history of ‘The Ultimate Fighter.'”
After a disappointing thirteenth season, middleweights Michael Bisping and Jason “Mayhem” Miller will coach the fourteenth installment of the series. White noted that the entry fights of this season are already better than all of the fights of last season.
“There’s some nasty guys on this season,” White said. “Just the show open is better than the entire last season’s fights.”
After the season concludes, coaches Bisping and Miller will square off on The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale in December.
Bisping is no stranger to the show, as he won the third season of the series and coached the ninth season opposite Dan Henderson. “The Count” is coming off of a controversial second round TKO victory over Jorge Rivera at UFC 127 last February.
Since losing a unanimous decision to Jake Shields in November of 2009, Miller has earned victories over Tim Stout in Strikeforce and Kazushi Sakuraba at DREAM.16 last September. He is returning to the UFC after a six-year absence from the organization.
Season 14 of The Ultimate Fighter is currently filming and, for the first time ever, will feature featherweights and bantamweights.
