Though the event has yet to be officially announced by the UFC, UFC 132 is already coming together as several match ups have been announced for the card by the UFC.
In lightweight action on the fight card, the recently victorious Dennis Siver will be taking on Matt Wiman and George Sotiropoulos will be squaring off against Evan Dunham to see who falls further down the rankings and who gets back on their feet.
Dennis Siver has put together a three-fight winning streak in the UFC since taking his only loss in the promotion – to Ross Pearson – back in March of last year. The German striker-first most recently appeared in action at UFC 127, where he took out the highly-regarded George Sotiropoulos in a surprise upset. He will look to continue his climb to the top when he takes on Matt Wiman, who himself has put together a solid three-fight winning streak in the UFC by defeating Shane Nelson, Mac Danzig and Cole Miller, respectively.
The aforementioned loss to Siver marked George Sotiropulos’ first in seven UFC bouts. Prior to losing to Siver (by unanimous decision), the Aussie had taken out the likes of Joe Lauzon, Kurt Pellegrino, Joe Stevenson and George Roop. His overall record stands at 14-3. Evan Dunham is also coming fresh off of a loss, as he was defeated via TKO in the main event of UFC Fight for the Troops 2 this past January by Melvin Guillard. The loss marked his second in a row (and second overall), though his first was a controversial decision defeat to Sean Sherk.
UFC 132 will likely take place this July 2nd at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
