Rashad Evans Plans To Stay At Light Heavyweight, More Open To Fight With Jon Jones

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans recently lost his planned shot at Mauricio “Shogun” Rua’s light heavyweight belt when he blew out his knee in training and he will be replaced in that bout by younger teammate Jon Jones.

Evans had been contemplating changing divisions if Jones were to win the title, however revealed on ESPN’s MMA Live that he would be staying at 205lbs, regardless of the outcome of the Rua-Jones fight later this month. He also suggested that he may be open to a bout with Jones for the title if it was offered to him.
