MMAJunkie.com has gotten their hands on the official list of medical suspensions handed down by the Nevada State Athletic Commission to the fighters who competed on last Saturday night’s UFC 126: Silva vs. Belfort fight card.
Vitor Belfort, Carlos Eduardo Rocha, Paul Kelly, Chad Mendes, Ricardo Romero and Kenny Robertson are all suspended until March 23rd with no contact until March 8th for precautionary reasons, except for Rocha, who received his suspension for a laceration to the scalp he sustained in his main card fight against Jake Ellenberger.
Gabe Ruediger and Michihiro Omigawa both received suspensions until April 7th with no contact until April 7th because they both suffered cuts on their right eyebrows and absorbed several shots to the head in losing their respective bouts.
Jake Ellenberger, who narrowly defeated Rocha, is suspended until August 5th unless he has both of his hands X-rayed and cleared by an orthopedic doctor.
Likewise, Forrest Griffin is suspended until August 5th unless his right foot is X-rayed and cleared by an orthopedic doctor. He defeated Rich Franklin by unanimous decision in the co-main event of the evening.
UFC 126 went down at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
