“Kid” Yamamoto’s UFC Debut This Sat. To Be Streamed Live On Facebook

After introducing streaming fights on Facebook for the Fight for the Troops 2 event on Jan. 22, the UFC has announced that they will once again stream content on the popular networking site this Saturday.

This Saturday, Feb. 5 at 8:25 p.m. ET/5:25 p.m. PT, the UFC will stream the debut of Japanese sensation Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto as he faces Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson in a bantamweight clash. The bout will be streamed for free at Fans will simply need to “like” the UFC Facebook page to be able to watch the highly anticipated contest.

“We understand the power of social media,” said UFC President Dana White. “Fans all over the world have been telling me that they want to see this fight! You got it. We are going to be broadcasting live on Facebook, giving UFC fans all over the world access to a great fight between Kid Yamamoto and Demetrious Johnson. Plus, we’re continuing to show that we are the best at using social media to attract new fans.”

UFC 126: Silva vs. Belfort takes place this Saturday, February 5 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is headlined by UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva defending his title by taking on fellow Brazilian Vitor “The Phenom” Belfort. As always, will provide live coverage of the event.
