Former UFC light heavyweight champion “Suga” Rashad Evans will attempt to reclaim what was once his when he takes on current 205-pound ruler Mauricio “Shogun” Rua this March 19th at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
After losing the belt to Lyoto Machida at UFC 98 in 2009, Evans strung together victories over Thiago Silva and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson to earn another shot at the light heavyweight title. “Suga” realizes that his opportunity to fight for the belt will not come around again very soon, as he competes in one of the UFC’s deepest divisions, where a new contender always waits in the wings. So it is that he is training every part of his body to be able to overcome “Shogun,” even his mind.
Check out the video below where Evans sharpens his Jedi mind tricks with MMA’s resident Yoda, Greg Jackson, with the help of the Star Wars Force Trainer.
