As we noted earlier, The Ultimate Fighter season ten winner Roy “Big Country” Nelson smells something fishy going on with the current bout schedules for the UFC’s top heavyweights. Nelson recently revealed that he thinks Brock Lesnar’s planned stint as a TUF coach is a sham and that the former WWE superstar has fought his last fight in the UFC.
According to Nelson’s theory, Lesnar will be used to attract a large viewership early on and will then abandon his role as coach sometime mid-season, only to be replaced by Shane Carwin or Frank Mir (similar to when Rich Franklin stepped in for an injured Tito Ortiz during TUF 11).
You can watch Nelson discuss his theory below. The Ultimate Fighter Season 10 winner, who is coming off of a unanimous decision loss to dos Santos, is currently scheduled to face Frank Mir at UFC 130 this coming May.
