MMAJunkie.com is reporting that UFC middleweight fighters Dan Miller and Dave Branch have agreed to square off on the upcoming UFC 128 fight card in New Jersey.
Fighting out of the AMA Fight Club in Sparta, New Jersey, Miller owns a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and has earned eight of his thirteen wins by submission. He went on a disappointing three-fight skid through late 2009 and early 2010, dropping consecutive decisions to Chael Sonnen, Demian Maia and Michael Bisping. The 29-year old bounced back from those losses by earning two-straight wins over John Salter and Joe Doerkson. He last appeared in action earlier this month at UFC 124, where he took home a split decision over Doerkson.
8-1 Dave Branch ended up on the wrong side of a highlight reel in his UFC debut, suffering a knockout courtesy a magnificent slam delivered by Gerald Harris. Branch got back on his feet though, and took home consecutive decision wins over Tomasz Drwal and Rich Attonito. The Renzo Gracie pupil has earned three of his wins by T(KO), three by submission and two by decision. He last appeared in the cage at the beginning of this month at The Ultimate Fighter 12 Finale against Attonito.
UFC 128 is expected to go down on March 19th at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Miller will be joined on the card by his brother Jim, a lightweight fighter.
