Mania.com is reporting that Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson will be following in Randy Couture’s footsteps, as he is playing a role in the third Scorpion King movie, tentatively titled Scorpion King: Rise of the Dead
Slice is set to appear alongside Ron Perlman, Billy Zane, and Dave Bautista in the series’ latest installment as a character by the name of Zulu Kondo. Shooting is currently shooting in Thailand.
Slice, who initially gained fame as a result of having his street fights filmed and distributed on the internet, made his way into the UFC after serving as a cast member on the tenth season of the popular The Ultimate Fighter reality TV show. Though Slice was eliminated from the show by Roy “Big Country” Nelson, he was invited back to the UFC, splitting two fights (a unanimous decision win over Houston Alexander and a TKO loss to Matt Mitrione) before having his contract severed.
It has been announced by boxing and former MMA promoter Gary Shaw that Slice would be making his debut as as a professional boxer soon, though he has since outwardly doubted Slice’s commitment to the career move.
Holding a current career record of 4-2, he has not appeared in action since the Mitrione loss.
