All the contestants slated to compete in tonight’s Strikeforce: Henderson vs. Babalu II event tipped the scales yesterday inside the Scottrade Center.
The only fighter not to initially make weight was light-heavyweight Terrell Brown, who had to make a second attempt after coming in 3.5 pounds over.
Mixed martial arts veteran Dan Henderson will be looking to rebound from a disappointing decision loss to Jake Shields, which came in his Strikeforce promotional debut, when he rematches Renato “Babalu” Sobral in the main event of the card. Sobral and Henderson first squared off in the Rings promotion back in February of 2000 in what was Henderson’s ninth professional fight.
