MMAWeekly.com is reporting that a middleweight bout has been added to UFC 127. According to MMAWeekly, Kyle Noke and Chris Camozzi have both verbally agreed to face one another and that bout agreements are expected to be signed shortly.
Australian native Kyle Noke will appreciate the home crowd advantage at UFC 127, considering that the show is taking place in Sydney. A former body guard to “The Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin, Noke appeared as a cast member on the The Ultimate Fighter: Team Liddell vs. Team Ortiz–losing in the quarter-finals to Kris McCray. He has since competed twice in the UFC, defeating both Rob Kimmons and Josh Bryant within the distance. Noke holds a record of 18-4-1 and has engaged in notable bouts against George Sotiropoulos (twice-losing one and winning one), Hector Lombard (draw), and Scott Smith (loss-KO).
Chris Camozzi is also an alumni of the eleventh season of The Ultimate Fighter, but was forced to withdraw from the competition after suffering a broken jaw in the bout that earned him a spot in the TUF house. Camozzi has also fought twice in the UFC since the show and has won both of his bouts as well–against James Hammortree and Dong Yi Yang–though his have been by decision. Camozzi owns a professional record of 14-3 and trains out of Lakewood, Colorado.
UFC 127 is expected to take place at the Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia this coming February 27th.
