According to MMAJunkie.com, a lightweight match up between Sam Stout and Paul Kelly will likely take place at the upcoming UFC 126 event.
Sam “Hands of Stone” Stout has been a mainstay in the UFC’s lightweight division since making his UFC debut in 2006 against Spencer Fisher. A talented Canadian kickboxer, Stout hones his skills under former Xtreme Couture trainer Shawn Tompkins. The 30-year old London, Ontario, Canada resident recently rebounded from a split-decision loss to Jeremy Stephens with a split-decision win over Paul Taylor. Stout is known for making the fights in which he appears exciting, having earned himself Fight of the Night honors five times. He holds an overall record of 16-6-1 with eight wins coming by way of TKO, one by submission and seven by decision. His six losses have either come by decision or submission.
Liverpool, England native Paul “Tellys” Kelly also recently rebounded from a loss–his a unanimous decision defeat to Jacob Volkmann–by scoring a TKO win over T.J. O’Brien at UFC 123. Kelly trains at Team Kaobon in England with fellow UFC vet Terry Etim. Kelly’s UFC record stands at 5-3, as he has split wins over Paul Taylor, Troy Mandaloniz, Roli Delgado, Matt Veach and O’Brien with defeats to Marcus Davis, Dennis Siver and Jacob Volkmann. He holds an overall record of 11-3 with five wins coming by TKO, three by submission and three by decision.
UFC 126 will be held on Super Bowl weekend (February 5th) at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
