Despite being the biggest draw in the UFC, Brock Lesnar hasn’t spoken to UFC President Dana White since his loss to Cain Velasquez last month.
“I haven’t talked with him since the fight,” White recently told Yahoo! Sports.
Lesnar was defeated by Cain Velasquez in October to lose his title and Frank Mir is coming off of a stinker against Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic that he eventually won by knockout. While Junior dos Santos and Velasquez prepare to do battle, heavyweight contenders Shane Carwin and Roy Nelson will sit on the sidelines due to a back injury and a contract dispute, respectively. That leaves Mir and Lesnar opponent-less with few other options on the table than each other–with possible regard to Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (who is also rehabbing an injury which required surgery) and Brendan Schaub (who looked impressive in defeating Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC 121).
