Boetsch walks out to a Kid Rock song, which Joe Rogan points out could be an appeal to the Detroit crowd. Davis makes his way down to a T.I. track, looking focused and relaxed. Referee Herb Dean will cover this bout.
Round 1: They touch gloves and get set in the middle of the cage. Davis throws a body kick that is partially blocked. They trade leg kicks, then front kicks. Davis with a punch-kick combo that stings. Davis with a leg kick. Another nice leg kick from Davis. Boetsch catches one but can’t take Davis down. It happens again and Boetsch clips Davis in the back of the head. It seems to have no ill effect as they go right back to it. Davis gets a takedown from a body lock and briefly looks for an arm triangle. There is blood on Boetsch’s arm that the announcers suspect is from Davis’ knee. Davis scoring with big shots to the body of a downed Boetsch. Davis dropping elbows to the head now, looking for mount. Davis is throwing big right hands, smothering Boetsch on the ground. Boetsch scrambles out but Davis stays on him, landing knees from the clinch.

Round 2: Davis starts the round with a high kick that is partially blocked. It isn’t long before Davis manhandles Boetsch against the fence and the crowd boos as they fight for position. Davis is fighting hard for the takedown, Boetsch jumps for the guillotine but Davis gets out of it and lands in Boetsch’s side control. Davis is isolating Boetsch’s left arm now. Davis cranks Boetsch’s left arm behind his back and Boetsch eventually taps. Rogan is astonished by the one-armed kimura finish.
