MMAJunkie.com has received the full list of fighter suspensions from last night’s WEC 52: Faber vs. Mizugaki event courtesy Nevada State Athletic Commission executive director Keith Kizer.
Main eventers Urijah Faber and Takeya Mizugaki both received suspensions, Mizugaki for 45 days with 30 days no contact for precautionary reasons and Faber for up to six months pending the clearance of an orthopedic doctor for a possible left shoulder injury.
In addition to Faber, Javier Vasquez, Yves Jabouin, Clint Godfrey, and Raphael Assuncao all received six months suspensions. Vasquez faces a mandatory minimum suspension of 45 days with 30 days no contact and a six month suspension pending the results of X-rays of his nasal and facial bones. Like Faber, Jabouin received no mandatory minimum suspension and can be cleared of his six month suspension upon the examination of his left thumb. Godfrey also faces six months with no mandatory minimum suspension and can be cleared following the examination of his left elbow. Assuncao can be cleared of his six month suspension following X-rays to his right foot and also received no mandatory minimum suspension.
Francisco Rivera and Zack Micklewright both took home 45 day suspensions for precautionary reasons and Edward Faaloloto rounds out the list with a 30 day suspension for precautionary reasons.
WEC 52 took place at the Pearl at the Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada.
