Quinton “Rampage” Jackson Hopes Lyoto Machida “Considers The Fans”

Two former UFC light heavyweight champions collide next month as Quinton “Rampage” Jackson takes on Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida at UFC 123: Rampage vs. Machida live from the Palace at Auburn Hills in Detroit, Michigan. The event will mark the first time that the UFC has been in the Motor City since UFC IX in 1996.

“I’m fighting for respect and I’m fighting for honor,” Rampage stated in a recent hype video, which you can watch at the end of this article. “I’m not worried about his kicks or his punches… I’m not worried about it.”

Jackson will have his hands full with the always-elusive Machida, who is coming off of his first loss to Maurício “Shogun” Rua this past May. Jackson noted that while Machida may fight “tricky,” he plans on bringing it.

“I’m going to fight my fight, I’m not fighting his fight,” Jackson continued. “I just hope Machida comes to fight and considers the fans and put on an exciting fight.”

UFC 123: Rampage vs. Machida takes place on November 20, 2010 from The Palace of Auburn Hills in the Detroit suburb of Auburn Hills, Michigan.
