While “UFC 121: Lesnar vs. Velasquez” is clearly the deepest fight card of 2010, UFC 124 is following closely behind. The Octagon’s final show of the year has reportedly added a spectacular lightweight scrap between Jim Miller and Brazilian phenom Charles Oliveira to it’s roster.
The contest was first confirmed by MMADiehards.com on Wednesday afternoon.
Miller holds an impressive 18-2 mark and is 7-1 for the world’s premier mixed martial arts show. His sole blemish in the UFC came in a lopsided unanimous decision loss to current top contender Gray Maynard at UFC 96 back in March 2009. He was seen last month handing Gleison Tibau a decision loss at “UFC fight Night 22.”
Oliveira stakes claim to a perfect 14-0 record, however Miller will be his toughest test to date. At the time, enthusiasts said the same thing before he submitted former “The Ultimate Fighter” winner Efrain Escudero on the same UFC FN 22 card.
UFC 124 takes place inside the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on December 11th.
