FiveOuncesOfPain.com is reporting that the UFC has added another head to the chopping block as Rodney “Sho Nuff The Master” Wallace has been released from his contract with the promotion.
Wallace entered into the UFC in December of 2009 on the strength of his 9-0 record but was stalled in that fight by Brian Stann, who defeated “Sho Nuff The Master” via unanimous decision. That bout would set the pattern for Wallace’s UFC career as the North Carolina-stationed fighter would post two more unanimous decision losses to the likes of Jared Hamman (at UFC 111) and, most recently, Phil “Mr. Wonderful” Davis (at UFC 117 this past August).
Wallace was the victor of a three-fight, one-night tournament held in Aruba prior to his UFC debut; he earned victories over Gregory Milliard, Aaron Stark and Antwain Britt that evening and also a shot in the UFC.
Wallace owns an overall professional record of 9-3 with one win via TKO, two via submission and six via decision. All three of his professional losses have come in the UFC and by way of unanimous decision.
