Brash number one UFC middleweight contender Chael Sonnen recently made an appearance at a UFC question and answer session with fans and in between trash talking everyone from Brock Lesnar and Georges St. Pierre, Sonnen tried out some material aimed at rival and champion Anderson Silva that could open the door to another career for the staunch Republican.
AroundtheOctagon.com transcribed a poem that Sonnen wrote to Silva describing their August title fight, that Sonnen dominated for five rounds until Silva rallied late in the fifth to submit the gritty Oregonian with a triangle choke.
“Anderson think it through,
There’s still a few months before they lock the cage door behind me and you.
Last time they raised your hand,
But it was plain to see
That I took a lot more out of you than you took out of me.
I broke the mirror and I blew away the smoke.
It was me who tapped,
But it was you who broke”
Silva and Sonnen are set to rematch each other, however an exact date has not yet been confirmed. The two are rumored, however, to meet at the UFC’s annual New Year’s Eve show (UFC 125) which will go down January 1, 2011 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. If Sonnen loses in the rematch, at least he may have a promising future as a poet.
