Jim Miller vs. Gleison Tibau
Round 1: Both fighters started swinging early. Miller landed a leg kick, but Tibau caught a second one and took Miller to the ground. Tibau grabbed on to the neck, but Miller was able to get back to his feet. Miller nailed Tibau with a solid jab that rocked Tibau and followed through with several punches. Tibau took Miller down, but Miller was able to apply a front choke on the ground. Tibau got back to his feet and pressed Miller against the cage and landed a couple of punches before going to the center of the cage. Miller went for another takedown and they clinched against the cage. Tibau started to chase Miller around the cage. Miller cracked Tibau with a couple of shots. Tibau landed a left as the round came to an end. Close round. FightLine.com scores the round 10-9 for Tibau.
Round 2: Miller cracked Tibau with a big left hand and immediately went for the rear-naked choke, but Tibau was able to shrug him off. Miller took Tibau down, but Tibau got back to his feet as Miller worked to take Tibau down again. Miller pressed Tibau against the fence, but Tibau reversed and worked on Miller’s legs. Both fighters went back to the center of the cage and Tibau was able to score a big takedown. They got back up to their feet. Miller charged and landed a body kick. Tibau scored another takedown with 30 seconds to go. Tibau followed Miller to the ground and finished the round on top. FightLine.com scores the round 10-9 for Miller.
Round 3: Both fighters traded punches on their feet and Tibau pressed Miller against the cage. They went back to the center of the cage. Miller stuffed a takedown. Miller went for a leg trying to score a takedown, but Tibau was able to defend. Tibau then went for a takedown of his own, but Miller was able to defend. The referee separated them and they’re back in the center of the cage. Miller went for a takedown but was caught with a knee to the head. Tibau pressed Miller to the cage and landed a couple of knees to Miller’s legs as the round ended. Another close round. FightLine.com scores the round 10-9 for Miller.
