Ross Pearson vs. Cole Miller
Round 1: Pearson landed several leg kicks to start the round. Miller grabbed a leg and pressed Pearson against the cage and took Pearson to the mat, but Pearson quickly got up to his feet. Miller landed a few punches and hooked the body, but Pearson escaped. Miller landed several punches. Both fighters stayed standing. Miller landed a good leg kick, but Pearson responded with a few hard punches of his own. Good round for Miller, although Pearson is finding his range. FightLine.com scores the round 10-9 for Pearson.
Round 2: Miller went for a leg and took Pearson to the ground, but Pearson got right up and got back to his feet. Pearson was finding his range and landing more shots. Miller surprised Pearson with a flying knee and started teeing away on Pearson. Miller rocked Pearson with a left hook and landed a couple of more punches before sinking in the rear-naked choke, forcing Pearson to tap.
Cole Miller defeated Ross Pearson via submission (rear-naked choke) at 1:49 of Round 2.
After the bout, Miller said he’s tired of seeing a bunch of wrestlers trying to lay ‘n pray and run the clock, and wanted to give the fans something exciting.
