MMAFighting.com has learned from sources close to the matter that lightweight fighters Dennis Siver and Andre Winner will likely be squaring off this November at UFC 122 in Germany.
German-Russian Dennis Siver is 16-7 as a pro and owns a 5-4 record in the UFC, with notable wins over Paul Kelly and Spencer Fisher. His four losses have come at the hands of Ross Pearson, Melvin Guillard, current number one lightweight contender Gray Maynard and Jess Liaudin. Siver owns a purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu but is known primarily for his striking prowess. He is 5-1 in his last six fights (one victory occurred outside of the UFC at Tempel-Mix Fight Gala VII over Chas Jacquier) and he finished four of those opponents. Siver most recently saw action at The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale in June where he defeated Spencer Fisher via unanimous decision. That win bounced him back from a unanimous decision loss to Ross Pearson dating back to March.
English fighter Andre Winner was a cast member on the ninth season of The Ultimate Fighter which pitted UK and US MMA fighters against one another. Winner advanced to the finals of the tournament but was defeated in that match by Ross Pearson via unanimous decision. Despite losing out on the six-figure contract, Winner made his return to the UFC and defeated Roli Delgado via first round knockout. He has gone 1-1 since, defeating Rafaello Oliveira via unanimous decision and, most recently, losing to Nik Lentz via unanimous decision. The Team Rough House member holds a UFC record of 2-2 and an overall professional mixed martial arts record of 11-4-1.
UFC 122 has yet to be officially announced by the UFC but will likely take place this November 13th in Oberhausen, Germany at the Konig Pilsener Arena. The event will likely be headlined by a match up between top UFC middleweight fighters Vitor Belfort and Yushin Okami.
