FightersOnly.com is reporting that the acclaimed UFC Primetime series is returning to cover the upcoming UFC 121 heavyweight title fight between UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar and number one heavyweight contender Cain Velasquez.
The series will air in three parts on Spike TV with the first part airing on October 6th, the second on October 13th and the third on October 20th. All of the episodes will air at 10 PM ET/PT.
Lesnar and Velasquez are set to square off on October 23rd at UFC 121, which bears their namesake and airs live from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California via pay-per-view. A one-hour special to air on Spike TV covering two undercard fights will precede the broadcast.
The documentary-style UFC Primetime series has covered high-profile bouts between UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre and BJ Penn, GSP again and brash UK fighter Dan Hardy, and the grudge match between Rashad Evans and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. Evans-Jackson was the most recently aired installment and also drew the most viewers, peaking at 1.2 million viewers.
