For as long as Octagon fans can remember, former UFC light heavyweight champ Chuck Liddell has always sported his trademark Mohawk. That was until today, when “The Iceman” decided to take a BIC Flex 4 razor to his head.
It was announced earlier this year that Liddell would shave his head clean, a la UFC president Dana White, to support BIC 4 GOOD. Today, he appeared as a guest on FOX NEWS for his makeover.
“It doesn’t take a lot to make a huge difference in the world, and I’m proud to be a part of BIC 4 GOOD’s humanitarian effort,” said Liddell. “By shaving off my own signature ‘do, I hope to inspire people to do the same for this important program.”
The BIC 4 GOOD initiative asks Americans to shave their head – for real or virtually – and in turn BIC will make a donation on their behalf to DoSomething.org, a not-for-profit organization that empowers youth to do good in their own communities. In celebration of the launch of the BIC Flex 4 shaver and the opportunity to support a great cause, BIC and Chuck are asking America to join the movement.
From April 15th through September 30th of this year, BIC will donate $444 to DoSomething for every video of a shaved head, $44 for every photo of a shaved head, and $4 for every virtually shaved head. Already, do-gooders everywhere have raised over $45,000. With Chuck’s help, BIC hopes to push this number to reach the $60,000 fundraising goal for DoSomething.org.
If Chuck’s real life look is too extreme for you, the BIC 4 GOOD virtual shave lets you have an impact with just a headshot and a little imagination. To join the campaign, visit the program’s site at www.bic4good.com or visit www.facebook.com/bic4good for more information.
