MMAFighting.com is reporting that the Georges St-Pierre – Josh Koscheck welterweight title fight will take place at UFC 124 on December 11th from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. UFC President Dana White confirmed the date and venue to the site. This will mark the second time that the organization has been to Montreal this year, as they were in the same venue for UFC 113 this past May.
The bout will be St-Pierre’s second in his hometown of Montreal, with the first being when he defeated Matt Serra at UFC 83 in April of 2008. Meanwhile, Koscheck last fought in Montreal where he defeated Paul Daley at UFC 113 to become the top contender for the welterweight championship.
UFC 124 will happen after Koscheck and St-Pierre serve as opposing coaches on the 12th season of The Ultimate Fighter, which premieres on September 15th. The two have met before at UFC 74, which saw St-Pierre defeat Koscheck via unanimous decision.
