Paul Daley Comments On 30-Day Suspension

UK welterweight Paul “Semtex” Daley took to the popular fan forum The Underground to directly express his thoughts on the 30-day suspension he has been handed by the Governing Body of Alcohol, Races, and Games of Quebec (RACJ) stemming from a late punch that Daley attempted to hit opponent Josh Koscheck with after their bout at UFC 113 in May.

Daley’s post read:

“Thanks for the attention, good and bad. But i think the matter should be layed to rest, fact is the commission has made the decision, in court..and it’s final.

I have apologised for the incident, sincerely.

Next for me is SHARK FIGHTS, Sept 11th in Texas, USA.

Haters, thanks for the continued airtime, supports, thanks for the support.”

“Semtex” gained infamy for his post-fight sucker punch and also drew the ire of UFC President Dana White who imposed a lifetime ban on Daley in the UFC. The British slugger wasted no time getting back on the horse, however, as he took on Daniel Acacio at Impact FC 2 – The Uprising: Sydney this past July in Sydney, Australia and won via submission (elbows). “Semtex” is now scheduled to take on Jorge Masvidal at the upcoming Shark Fights 13: Jardine Vs. Prangley, which is going down this September 11th at the Civic Center Coliseum in Amarilo, Texas.
