It’s hard to imagine, but Anderson Silva believes Chael Sonnen – the man that has been verbally assaulting him for the past several months – is actually a decent human being. While the middleweight king hasn’t had much to say leading up tonight’s UFC 117 scrap, it doesn’t mean “The Spider” won’t come out to play when the lights come on.
“I’m very excited for the fight with Chael. He’s a new opportunity for me, for Chael, for my team. I’m very happy,” Silva told MMAFighting.com.
The chatty challenger’s diversified disses have covered everything from Silva’s pretty pink wardrobe to his pathetic warrior spirit. While most of his nonstop chatter has been boarder line outrageous, if not completely ROFLMAO, the Brazilian claims Sonnen hasn’t lit a fire under him.
“No, no fire,” Silva said while jokingly looking underneath his vicious feet for flames. “It’s fine, Chael’s a good guy.
“Chael talks anytime, not just [about] me, all the fighters,” the champ said if his adversary. “But I don’t know, it’s Chael’s opinion not my opinion. I respect all the fighters.”
