According to MMAJunkie.com, Gabriel Todd Duffee will face Jon Madsen in a heavyweight clash inside the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA at UFC 121.
Prior to his UFC 114 loss, no heavyweight appeared to have a brighter future than Duffee. Unfortunately for the 24-year-old, Mike Russow came along and humble him with a 3rdRound TKO upset. Duffee is now afforded the opportunity to hand someone else their first blemish.
Madsen holds a perfect 6-0 record, with half coming inside the Octagon. The H.I.T. Squad trained fighter has wrestled his way to easy unanimous decision wins over Mostapha Al-Turk and Karlos Vemola in his last two outings.
Cain Velasquez will challenge heavyweight king Brock Lesnar for his crown in the night’s featured attraction. Jake Shields is also expected to make his Octagon debut when he meets the aforementioned Kampmann.
