The Nevada State Athletic Commission has released the official gate and attendance for UFC 115: Liddell vs. Franklin to MMAFighting.com.
The event drew 17,669 fans to the General Motors Place in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada for a gate of $4,221,787.00. The paid attendance was 14,621, with 3,048 tickets comped. That is in line with the 17,000 attendance and $4.2 million gate figure that UFC President Dana White announced at the UFC 115: Liddell vs. Franklin post-fight press conference.
The event saw Rich Franklin knockout Hall Of Famer Chuck Liddell in the first round, in what was likely Liddell’s swan song as a fighter in the UFC. In the semi-main event, Mirko Cro Cop weathered an early storm from young up-and-comer Pat Barry to earn a submission victory in the third round, his first submission victory in nearly four years.
