As noted earlier, former WWE wrestler Batista told celebrity gossip site TMZ.com that he was done with wrestling now that his contract with the WWE was over and that he was heading into MMA.
When asked if he was really going to get into MMA the now former pro wrestler laughed it off while quietly saying that he’d be fighting for a certain California-based promotion.
“Strikeforce,” Batista stated.
Strikeforce spokesperson Mike Afromowitz told several outlets earlier today that the former WWE champion has “definitely has not signed” with Strikeforce. He did not offer any other comment. The two sides have had talks and Strikeforce may eventually offer a contract, but have not done so as of this writing.
