James Wilks defeated Peter Sobotta via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-28, 30-27).
Mario Miranda defeated David Loiseau via TKO (strikes) at 4:07 of Round 2.
Matt Wiman defeated Mac Danzig via Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 1:45 of Round 1.
Evan Dunham defeated Tyson Griffin via split decision (30-27, 28-29, 29-28).
Carlos Condit Vs. Rory MacDonald
The crowd obviously supports hometown boy Rory MacDonald
Round 1: MacDonald gets in Condit’s face right away; he catches a kick from Condit and takes him down. He tells Condit to get up and gets the better of an exchange of hands. They clinch and after a few moments MacDonald slams Condit to the canvas, he lands in Condit’s guard. They reach a stalemate on the ground and Condit gets to his feet. Condit rocks MacDonald but MacDonald recovers quickly. MacDonald nails Condit off of a kick and after another exchange takes Condit down again. The crowd chants “Rory!” They scramble on the ground and both end up back on their feet. MacDonald in Condit’s face again, landing combos, occasional kicks and never relenting with the pressure. Condit with some nice kicks. MacDonald catches a knee fromCondit and lands a body shot. Condit with a leg kick. MacDonald ducks a combo and gets a takedown. A lot of action in Round 1. Round 2: They take to the middle of the cage immediately and MacDonald resumes with the pressure. They exchange and MacDonald reverses a takedown attempt by Condit and lands a takedown of his own. They are back to their feet and the pace is lightning fast. They clinch and Condit misses on a knee, MacDonald lands a punch. They are trading on the feet; Condit with another nice leg kick. Condit misses with a superman punch, MacDonald tries for a takedown but Condit reverses it and briefly gets on top. MacDonald sweeps him and gets into Condit’s guard. They are back to their feet and MacDonald is getting the better of the exchanges. Condit tries for a takedown but it is easily shrugged off. Condit turns it on at the end, lands a push kick to MacDonald’s face and falls in the process as MacDonald lands a push kick of his own. Fightline.com scores the round 10-9 for MacDonald
Round 3: MacDonald catches a leg kick and throws a flying knee. He is all over Condit, landing a head kick and some solid punches. Condit lands a nice punch and MacDonald drops for a takedown. Condit goes for a kimura, MacDonald sees it but Condit still gets on top of MacDonald. A nice elbow from the top by Condit. THey are scrambling and Condit is landing some nice elbows. Condit with the mount. Back to half guard. MacDonald is bleeding. Condit with a nice right hand. MacDonald gets back to his feet, Condit has him pressed against the cage, he lands a good combo and MacDonald drops to the canvas as he goes for a takedown. MacDonald’s right eye is looking rough and swollen; Condit is punishing him against the cage. Condit is all over MacDonald, back into full mount briefly. MacDonald is just trying to survive. The ref calls it with ten seconds left in the fight, the crowd boos heavily.

Ben Rothwell Vs. Gilbert Yvel

Round 1: Rothwell comes out right away and lands a solid combo against Yvel, the Dutchman looks briefly overwhelmed. Rothwell drops for a takedown and Yvel goes for a guillotine. Rothwell gets out and lands in side control. Rothwell gets the mount and Yvel reverses it. Rothwell drives for a takedown and gets it, has Yvel against the cage in side control. They scramble for some time against the cage and Rothwell gets reversed as he goes for the crucifix. He quickly regains full mount with Yvel’s back against the cage. Yvel rolls for a leg lock but cannot finish it. Rothwell gets the mounted crucifix; Yvel rolls him over and takes Rothwell’s back. They are back to their feet and Yvel is teeing off. They are resting against the cage now. Yvel goes for a high kick. Fightline.com scores the round 10-10.
Close round, could’ve gone either way.
Round 2: Rothwell gets a takedown early and has Yvel against the cage. He moves into side mount. Now full mount. Rothwell is trying to pound away with ground strikes but Yvel somehow gets back to his feet. They both seem very tired. After a brief moment of clenching against the cage Rothwell gets a takedown. Yvel goes for an Americana and uses it to sweep for a takedown. Yvel is landing some serious ground and pound now. Rothwell gets a takedown as Yvel slows down and is landing some weak punches against the cage. Rothwell gets full mount as the clock winds down. Fightline.com scores the round 10-9 for Yvel
Another very close round that likely could have gone either way.
Round 3: Yvel shoots right away but Rothwell shrugs it off and lands on top. Yvel throws his legs up but can’t put anything together, Rothwell moves into side control. The pace continues to slow considerably. Rothwell gets the mount. Rothwell looking for a submission from side control now. Yvel is floundering. Rothwell gets the mounted crucifix again but can’t do much to capitalize. Rothwell transitioning from side control to crucifix and, while not inflicting much damage, is easily taking the round. Rothwell is probably on his way to a decision win. Fightline.com scores the round 10-9 for Rothwell
Ben Rothwell defeated Gilbert Yvel via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28)
Paulo Thiago Vs. Martin Kampmann
The hat thieves have come out en masse tonight. In addition to Ben Rothwell, Thiago also gets his hat snatched as he makes his way to the cage.
Round 1: The two men do not touch gloves and start to feel each other out immediately. Thiago goes for a leg kick and Kampmann catches him with a right. Kampamnn lands another right as Thiago moves in. Thiago caught again as he goes for a leg kick. Kampmann lands and Thiago throws a wild combo. Kampmann looking very crisp and continues to land on Thiago. Thiago throws recklessly and comes within inches of Kampmann’s face. Kampmann lands a solid punch and Thiago goes down, looking for a takedown. After a brief stalemate Thiago lands a nice trip. Kampmann goes for a guillotine. Thiago gets out of it and lands a nice throw. Kampmann gets up and goes for a guillotine again. Thiago rolls out of it. THe round ends with Kampmann in side control. Fightline.com scores the round 10-9 for Kampmann
Round 2: Kampann with a solid leg kick. Then a nice counter right hook. Thiago is throwing hard as Kampmann moves in but he can’t connect. Thiago throwing violently but Kampmann staying technical and landing strikes. Thiago misses on a takedown and Kampmann goes for his back, he has one hook in. Thiago doing his best to hip escape but Kampmann is all over him. Thiago is looking for a kimura. He uses it to sweep and lands in side control. Thiago trying to pass but Kampmann gets back to his feet. Kampmann lands some good knees and Thiago hits the ground. He is slow to get back to his feet as the bell rings. Round 3: Kampmann tries for a head kick. Thiago still looking to load up and land a bomb, Kampmann still staying technical and countering. Kampmann gets Thiago to the ground from the clinch. Thiago is against the cage looking to upkick but Kampmann isn’t having it. He gets into the mount and looks for the arm triangle. Kampmann gets Thiago’s back but the Brazilian shakes him off. Kampmann retains top position and sits on top of Thiago as Thiago holds onto a leg. Kampmann lands another knee and stuffs a takedown, landing on top of Thiago. Kampmann is smothering Thiago on the ground. They hit their feet again. Thiago throws a huge right that is partially blocked and Kampmann shrugs off another takedown attempt. He again lands on top and goes for an arm triangle. Thiago looks frustrated. Fightline.com scores the round 10-9 for Kampmann
Martin Kampmann defeated Paulo Thiago via unanimous decision (30-27 across the board)
Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic Vs. Pat Barry
Round 1: They touch gloves and exchange immediately. Barry with a leg kick. Barry lands a right hand and drops “Cro Cop.” He lets him up. They trade leg kicks. Barry lands another right that drops Filipovic, he does not look to follow him to the ground. “Cro Cop” pops back up but is in trouble. Announcer Joe Rogan points to the rapid swelling of Filipovic’s face as the sign of a possible broken jaw. Barry looking much quicker than “Cro Cop”. Filipovic lands a takedown and lands a nice combo as Barry gets up. Barry whiffs on a head kick. “Cro Cop” lands a nice one-two. Barry tries another head kick and it’s blocked. Fightline.com scores the round 10-9 for Barry.
Round 2: “Cro Cop” tries for a high kick and it’s blocked. He lands with a body kick. “Cro Cop” pushes forward and lands with a solid combo. “Cro Cop” misses a side kick and lands a straight left. They clinch and Filipovic pushes Barry against the cage, he gets a brief takedown but Barry pops back up. “Cro Cop” holding Barry against the cage and punching his thigh. THey are separated and take to the middle of the cage again. “Cro Cop” with a leg kick and then a side kick. He swings and knocks Barry off balance then goes for a guillotine as Barry is on the ground. He puts Barry on his back and lands in half guard. Barry trying to muscle off of the ground but Filipovic pushes him back down. “Cro Cop” gets into full mount. Barry rolls but gives up his back in the progress. “Cro Cop” has both hooks in. Filipovic looking for the rear naked choke but the clock is winding down. Fightline.com scores the round 10-9 for Filipovic
Round 3: The two men embrace before starting off the round. “Cro Cop” with a body kick and a nice punch combo. “Cro Cop” lands an axe kick. Seriously. They clinch in the middle of the cage. Barry drops “Cro Cop” again with a right but he pops right back up. “Cro Cop” pushing forward with punches. Filipovic with a nice leg kick. Barry with a nice left. “Cro Cop” with an uppercut. Barry looks tired and “Cro Cop” muscles him against the cage. “Cro Cop” with a nice elbow and uppercut against the cage. The ref separates them. “Cro Cop” teeing off on Barry. He drops him and hammers his face against the cage. “Cro Cop” goes for the rear naked choke and gets it.

Chuck Liddell Vs. Rich Franklin
Apparently former Forrest Griffin opponent Bill Mahood is judging this fight; pretty cool to see an actual MMA fighter judging an MMA fight.
Round 1: They take to the center of the cage immediately. Franklin with a couple of nice inside leg kicks and Liddell answers with one of his own. They trade punches and Franklin gets the better of it. Liddell stuffs a takedown attempt by Franklin and lands a couple of nice body kicks. Franklin with a nice right hook. Liddell lands a solid uppercut. Liddell with a quick takedown, he has Franklin on his back against the cage. Franklin gets to his feet and turns Chuck to the cage. Liddell is cut badly somehow. Franklin with a good combo. Liddell with s solid right that staggers Franklin. Franklin fires back but Liddell stays in his face throwing punches. Nice exchange. Liddell with a leg kick and left hook. Liddell lands a head kick. Liddell gets overzealous after an elbow and gets dropped by a Franklin right hand. He goes out cold.
Rich Franklin defeated Chuck Liddell via KO at 4:55 of Round 1.
Franklin says in his post-fight interview that he broke his arm early blocking a kick and could feel it click during the fight.
