MMAJunkie.com is reporting that the UFC’s 205 pound division has received a new entrant as New Jersey fighter Ricardo Romero (10-1) has signed a four-fight deal with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
According to MMAJunkie Romero also lines the roster of fighters who call New Jersey’s AMA Fight Club home, including brothers Dan and Jim Miller, Charlie “The Spaniard” Brenneman, and Rafaello Oliveira.
Romero has held both the light heavyweight and heavyweight titles in the New Jersey fight promotion Ring of Combat. The newly-minted UFC fighter is currently on a five-fight win streak and has defeated current UFC heavyweight James McSweeney. His most recent outing saw him submit Silmar Rodrigo under the Ring of Combat banner.
