UFC 114: Michael Bisping Vs. Dan Miller

Miller walks out to Run Through the Jungle by Creedence Clearwater Revival, good choice by the New Jersey native. Bisping’s entrance is halted slightly as the cutman gets some vaseline in his eye. It’s wiped out and all seems to be well.

Round 1: Steve Mazzagatti is the third man in the ring. The two men shove each other in the middle of the cage when the ref calls for the to “hook ’em up”. Miller lands a good straight left and then tags Bisping low. They restart. Bisping lands a solid right. They are trading strikes toe to toe and Bisping has only a slight edge. Miller with a good body shot. Bisping finding a home for his one-two. Miller with a solid leg kick. Very even so far on the feet. Bisping with a solid right. They end the round trading. scores the round 10-9 for Bisping

Round 2: They touch gloves and start the round trading again. Bisping seeming to find his rhythm. Bisping beating Miller to the punch here. Miller with a questionable inside leg kick but Bisping shakes it off and keeps going. Bisping cracks Miller with a high kick. Miller finally tries for a takedown but Bisping shrugs it off with ease. He lands a huge right hand on Miller. Bisping with another straight right. Bisping catches an inside kick and lands a right. Another right. Bisping looking very comfortable on his feet. Bisping catches another inside kick. Miller with a short jab. Miller lands a good right at the bell. scores the round 10-9 for Bisping

Round 3: Miller is pushing forward, lands a nice shot. Bisping fires back and connects solidly. Miller with some inside leg kicks. Bisping with a right hand. Miller looking more worse for the wear. Miller lands a takedown and Bisping establishes his guard. Bisping walks up the cage and gets back to his feet. Miller with a body shot. Bisping with a right. Miller tries for a body kick, Bisping barely catches it. The crowd chants USA and Miller tries for another takedown. Bisping fights it off and lands a solid right. They trade punches to end out the round. scores the round 10-10

Michael Bisping defeated Dan Miller via unanimous decision (scores of 30-27, 30-27, 29-28)

Bisping says he’s annoyed with himself for not being able to finish the fight.
