Roger Gracie vs. Kevin Randleman
Round 1: Gracie tried landing a couple of punches early, but Randleman was able to doge them. Randleman would charge in, but couldn’t get inside due to Gracie’s significant reach and height advantage. Gracie starting to chase Randleman and landing a couple of jabs and trying to put together some combinations. Both fighters tied up and Gracie attempted a guillotine, but Randleman was able to power out. Gracie was briefly able to take Randleman to the ground, but Randleman was able to get quickly back to his feet. Gracie continued to use his reach advantage peppering Randleman with jabs. Randleman was able to land a few shots as the round came to a close. FightLine.com scores the round 10-9 for Gracie.
Round 2: Randleman landed a couple of hard body shots early. It seemed to wake Gracie up, who landed a couple of right hooks. Randleman was able to clinch with Gracie against the cage. Gracie was able to get out and went for knees, and was able to tag Randleman with one which rocked him and sent him to the mat. Gracie jumped on Randleman and got side control, and moved quickly to full mount. Randleman scrambled, and Gracie was able to get Randleman’s back and went for a rear-naked choke. Randleman was able to defend for awhile before Gracie was able to sinc it in, forcing Randleman to tap.
