TMZ.com is reporting that the Orange County District Attorney has rejected the case against Tito Ortiz due to insufficient corroboration to prove beyond reasonable doubt that Ortiz had attacked his girlfriend Jenna Jameson last month.
“We’re pleased the prosecutors recognized this as a misunderstanding,” said Ortiz’ lawyer, Chip Matthews. “Tito and Jenna are happily working on their relationship.”
Jameson and Ortiz agreed to reconcile earlier this month after police arrived at the couple’s home in Huntington Beach, CA on April 26 after Jameson’s father called 911 to report a disturbance. Ortiz was later arrested for domestic abuse.
Ortiz denied ever laying a hand on Jameson and claimed that the incident was triggered by Jenna’s addiction to OxyContin, a popular prescription pain killer, which she denied.
Ortiz later stated that he found two OxyContin pills in a pair of her pants and may have jumped to conclusions. Jameson said that the pills were very old and Ortiz’ lawye said that the whole thing was “a big misunderstanding.”
