Fedor Emelianenko’s highly anticipated return to Strikeforce will finally go down when he meets former UFC heavyweight Fabricio Werdum on June 26th in San Jose, CA.
It’s been over six months since we last saw Fedor knocking out then undefeated Brett Rogers at “Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers” this past November.
After a long and tedious contract renegotiation between Strikeforce and M-1 Global, the Russian based company that manages the planet’s best heavyweight, is now primed to return against another fairly dangerous opponent.
Tickets for the event officially go on sale today for Strikeforce Newsletter Members and will be available to the general public starting on May 14th.
Since being Junior dos Santos’ stepping stone in his last Octagon appearance, Werdum has won his first two fights for Strikeforce and is looking to make the biggest splash of all by upsetting Fedor.
