“WEC 48 Prelim” Ratings Are In

Spike TV has just released the ratings for Saturday night’s hour-long broadcast of “Aldo vs. Faber Prelims Live,” which featured the instant classic between Leonard Garcia and Chang Sung Jung. Anthony Pettis posted an triangle choke finish of “The Ultimate Fighter” alum Alex Karalexis in the other live bout.

Although the show drew an audience of 1.0 million viewers, it came in a little lower than a typical “UFC Prelim” telecast, which has averaged a little over 1.4 million viewers over six Octagon events.

“Aldo vs. Faber” was a WEC event, but with a complete UFC twist. Dana White promoted the show and UFC commentators Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan were on mic duties.

Here are the numbers of past “UFC Prelim” shows aired on Spike TV:

UFC 103: 1.4 million viewers
UFC 104: 1.4 million viewers
UFC 106: 1.3 million viewers
UFC 108: 1.5 million viewers
UFC 109: 1.7 million viewers
UFC 111: 1.2 million viewers
