After inciting the biggest riot in MMA history, Jason “Mayhem” Miller was asked by management not to attend the “Strikeforce: Nashville” post-fight-press conference
Although the controversial middleweight was never allotted the opportunity to explain himself to the media directly, Miller did the next best thing by taking to his Twitter and leaving the simple comment for his childish behavior.
“Whoops,” Miller Tweeted after Saturday night’s melee.
After dominating veteran Dan Henderson for a unanimous decision victory to retain his middleweight crown, Jake Shields took the mic to address the Bridgestone Arena crowd, however wasn’t able to get too far with his celebratory speech.
Miller, the man Shields defeated for the open 185-pound title in November and, lived up to his nickname by jumping in and stealing the champ’s spotlight by asking for a rematch.
Shields didn’t take too kindly to Miller’s antics and pushed him. Miller charged back but was rudely greeted by Shield’s entourage, which included Strikeforce champs Gilbert Melendez and Nick Diaz, as well as his brother and UFC fighter Nate.
