Round 1: Henderson rocked Shields with a big right hand early that knocked Shields down, but Shields was able to recover. Henderson tagged Shields with another right, then another that knocked Shields to the ground. Henderson jumps on him with more punches while Shields is trying to grab Henderson’s leg. Both men get back to their feet and Henderson starts wailing away on Shields, and Shields trips to the mat. Shields gets up, but Hendo takes him back to the mat. Shields gets back to his feet and both fighters clench against the cage. The referee eventually restarts the fight and Shields is able to take Henderson down. Hendo gets quick back to his feet and drops some knees to Shields’ body. Both men trade punches as the round ends. Dominant round for Hendo, almost a 10-8. Round 2: Shields shoots early, and Henderson lands on top. Henderson tries to take Shields’ back, but Shields is able to get out of it and get into top position. Shields moves into mount, and lands some punches. Shields moves to half guard, and then back to mount, dropping more punches on Henderson. Shields goes for a triangle, but then gives it up and drops more punches. The referee almost looks like he’s going to stop it but Shields stays relentless on top of Hendo and continues to drop punches as the round ends. Great comeback for Shields. Round 3: Shields shoots early, but Henderson grabs Shields in a headlock. Both men return to their feet and trade punches. Shields shoots again and is able to take Henderson down. Shields is able to move into full guard. Shields goes for the mount, but Henderson is able to defend and Shields lands some short punches. Shields continues to dominate Henderson on the ground with ground and pound. Shields went for an armbar, but couldn’t secure it as the round came to a close. Round 4: Henderson goes for an overhand right that lands on Shields’ shoulder. Shields shoots, but Hendo is able to get back to his feet. Shields shoots again and Hendo defends before eventually being taken down. Shields passes guard and gets side control, and eventually is able to get mounth. Shields went for a kimura before giving it up and landing punches. He went for a kimura again but then proceeds to land more punches. Shields keeps throwing punches as the round comes to a close. Another good round for Shields and we might be looking at our third upset in a row. FightLine.com scores the round 10-9 for Shields.

Round 5: Shields shoots early and Henderson is able to avoid it, but is taken down when Shields shoots again. Shields is able to mount Henderson again and delivered punches from the top. Shields starts working for a kimura, but gives it up and lands more punches. He then goes for an arm-triangle, but gives it up and gets mount again. Shields manages to land more punches as the round ends. choke. Shields gives it up. Henderson nearly reverses the position, but Shields reclaims mount and delivers a few more punches before the round ends. FightLine.com scores the round 10-9 for Shields.
