While appearing as a guest on Fox News yesterday to promote his new autobiography, Why I Fight, former UFC lightweight champion BJ Penn broke out an impromptu grappling session with the show’s host, Brian Kilmeade.
Alright, so the incident wasn’t anything that would put War Machine to shame, but it was a rather interesting way to conduct an interview.
Although Kilmeade fought valiantly to hold off the Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt, Penn ultimately locked-in a devastating kimura which forced someone from Kilmeade’s corner to come racing in to call the scrap.
The Hawaiian appeared to be in good spirits despite losing his 155-pound title to Frankie Edgar at UFC 112 on Saturday. His upbeat mood is understandable considering Octagon brass reportedly contacted him late last night to arrange an immediate rematch.
This morning, Cagepotato.com spoke with Penn’s longtime coach, Rudy Valentino, and was told the the former lightweight king was suffering through a sinus infection and was on antibiotics leading up to his title defense in Abu Dhabi.
