Chuck Liddell Vs. Rich Franklin At UFC 115 Is Official (Updated)

Proving that where there’s smoke there’s fire, Chuck Liddell will be facing Rich Franklin, not Tito Ortiz, in the main event of UFC 115. The UFC released a poster of the event featuring Liddell and Franklin, which is at the end of this article.

Liddell was a coach on this most recent season of The Ultimate Fighter opposite old rival Tito Ortiz and the two were expected to square off at the show’s conclusion. Despite the vehement denial of UFC president Dana White, rumors had been running rampant that Ortiz had been sidelined by some injury and that Rich Franklin had been brought in to replace him as a coach on the show and as an opponent for Liddell. The previews for this Wednesday’s episode state that a cast member will be leaving the show.

It is unclear if Franklin will indeed appear on The Ultimate Fighter but he will definitely be taking “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy’s” spot in the cage against Liddell on June 12th in Vancouver.
