While UFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva will be slugging it out with Demian Maia this Saturday at UFC 112, it appears his stiffest competition may be swinging a golf club thousands of miles away.
Tiger Woods will be making his highly anticipated return to golf this weekend at The Masters in Augusta, Georgia. While the PGA couldn’t be more pleased, Woods’ comeback will now hoard all the media attention on a weekend the UFC is hosting their first promotion with their new partners, Flash Entertainment.
The pay-per-view broadcast will showcase two spectacular title fights. Lightweight king BJ Penn will look to hold off the gritty Frankie Edgar in the night’s co-main event, and middleweight champ Anderson Silva will face Brazilian jiu jitsu ace Demian Maia in the card’s featured attraction.
Despite the significance behind UFC 112 for Octagon brass, it appears Tiger will rain on the UFC’s parade as you can expect to see Woods’ face plastered all over ESPN throughout this April 8th weekend.
