Dana White Hopes To Return To Texas Soon

After attending the Manny Pacquiao vs. Joshua Clottey boxing extravaganza at the new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, UFC president Dana White appears hellbent on slapping an Octagon on the 50-yard line.

“We’re definitely, 100 percent going to Cowboys Stadium, no doubt about it. With our sport, people will fly in from all over the world,” White said during Wednesday’s “UFC Fight Night 21″ broadcast.

Although a UFC show inside the new Cowboys Stadium would be a monumental event, it won’t draw anything close to the record crowd of 108,713 that witnessed this year’s NBA All-Star game.

A crowd of 50,994 came to the home of “America’s Team” to watch Pacquiao beat someone not named Floyd Mayweather last month. That number is a more realistic gauge as to what a UFC promotion could possibly do, plus or minus a couple superstars on the fight card of course.

The organization most recently hosted “UFC 103: Franklin vs. Belfort” on September 19, 2009 inside the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, its second event in the state.
