Just two days removed from undergoing successful brain surgery, UFC welterweight Thiago Alves has been released from the Roosevelt Hospital in New York. Although he will be sidelined for another few weeks, the “Pitbull” can’t stop obsessing about a UFC 114 return.
“Leaving the hospital, going back to FL! [UFC 114] is looking good!!! I’m back, soo happy. Thank God! And all u guys! Osu!,” Alves Tweeted Friday morning.
Alves went under the knife to have an abnormality on the left side of his brain corrected after a pre-fight UFC 111 CT Scan revealed an “irregularity.”
The Brazilian was ultimately forced out of his rematch against Jon Fitch just 50 hours before showtime.
