The WEC has just announced that Scott Jorgensen will step-in on five weeks notice to face Antonio Banuelos at WEC 48, the organization’s first ever pay-per-view broadcast.
“Scott has been wanting another crack at Antonio and he gets the chance live on Pay-Per-View on April 24,” WEC GM Reed Harris said. “Their first fight was absolute fireworks. Now, both are even closer to a world title shot. There’s no doubt that this fight could be even better than the first.”
Jorgensen owns a 9-3 pro record and was last seen submitting Chad George at “WEC 47: Bowles vs. Cruz” just 11 days ago.
Banuelos was originally scheduled to fight Damacio Page, however Page was forced off the card due to an undisclosed injury.
WEC 48 jumps off inside Arco Arena in Sacramento, California on April 24th.
