MMAJunkie.com is reporting that exciting lightweights Mac Danzig (19-7-1) and Matt Wiman (11-5) have verbally agreed to fight at UFC 115 and are expected to sign their bout agreements soon.
27 fight veteran Mac Danzig’s UFC career was in dire straits after he posted three losses in a row out of five total Octagon appearances UFC before he came back at UFC 109 to score a unanimous decision win over Justin Bucholz. A strict Vegan, the 30 year old Danzig competed in King of the Cage and Pride FC before winning season 6 of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality TV show and earning a UFC contract in the process.
Matt Wiman, who appeared on season 5 of “The Ultimate Fighter”, has fared a bit better than Danzig in his eight Octagon appearances, going 5-3 overall. “Handsome” was sporting a two fight losing streak of his own though until he took out Shane Nelson in his most recent fight at UFC 107.
UFC 115 has not been officially announced yet but it is expected to be headlined by current TUF coaches and rivals Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz. The event is tentatively planned to be held at GM Place in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on June 12th.
