Today, during a pre-fight press conference to promote their M-1 Selection Eastern European event in St. Petersburg, Russia, M-1 Global, the company that represents Fedor Emelianenko, told TV 100 that the heavyweight will not be participating in Strikeforce’s CBS broadcast in April.
As of today, Strikeforce has yet to announce the date, venue, any fights or if CBS will indeed broadcast the event as expected. However, middleweight champion Jake Shields and Dan Henderson have both independently confirmed their highly anticipated April showdown.
M-1 Global representatives did confirm that Fedor’s bout against Fabricio Werdum is still on, however it would take place on a Strikeforce event in May, another show the San Jose-based organization has yet to publicize.
The latest buzz regarding Strikeforce’s April card is that it will take place on the 14th inside the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
