Despite losing five out of his last six fights, former Pride middleweight champion Wanderlei Silva feels rejuvinated heading into this weekend’s UFC 110 battle with Michael Bisping.
“I feel so great,” the 33-year-old told Sherdog.com. “I feel fast. My timing is better. I think I’m going to have a great performance in the division.”
This will mark Silva’s UFC middleweight debut, something the Brazilian believes will prolong his illustrious fighting career.
However, for this fight, he had to go back to his old school roots.
“For this fight, I trained a lot of wrestling, jiu-jitsu, and Muay Thai. I’m going to try and use it now.”
The newly-refined Silva hopes to return to his old ways when he meets Bisping inside the Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia.
