If you thought Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz was an old beef, former Mighty Morphin Power Ranger-turned submission specialist, Jason David Frank, has been stewing for 15 years over what Jean-Claude Van Damme did to him and the White Ranger states it’s about Van Damme Morphin Time they settle the score.
Frank told TMZ.com that JCVD went Hollywood on him during a 1995 silver screen premiere of “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie” where Frank claims his childhood “hero” blew him off.
The 35-year-old Frank made his MMA debut against Jonathon Mack at “Lonestar Beatdown: Houston” on January 30th. He is looking to parlay that first round omoplata submission victory next weekend when he meets Chris Rose at “Lonestar Beatdown: Dallas.”
Van Damme, who was the baddest action movie star in the late 80’s/early 90’s, is also looking to make his own pro fighting debut and has been spotted at countless MMA shows in Japan over the years.
If that’s the case, Frank said that he’s down, “anytime, anyplace, anywhere” — and “if [Van Damme’s] too scared to come into the Octagon, I’ll even take him on in a kickboxing match.”
